Update on delivery timescales
For a unique combination of reasons, this season’s gardening market is extremely buoyant and we are experiencing customer demand at unprecedented levels.
Following the re-opening of Garden Centres and Builders’ Merchants, this has put even more pressure on product availability.
As a result, on many items our lead times will be longer than normal, until demand is reduced and all of the materials needed to fulfil orders, for example polythene packaging, ingredients etc become more readily available.
All of our staff are working their hardest to ensure that orders are received within a reasonable lead time. For the next few weeks, our lead times could be longer than that previously experienced from us.
We are already planning for the 2020/21 season, to ensure that we can give you an even better service.
Three key areas that we will be investing in are:-
– an additional bulk bag packing line
– a vastly improved I.T. system
– increased availability of raw materials and packaging
