There's been a huge increase in interest in peat-free gardening in recent years but this year that interest seems to be wider and more intense than ever - probably as a direct result of the efforts of influential writers like John Walker who blogs as earth friendly gardener (and tweets as @earthFgardener) and, more recently the ensorsement of the Royal Horticultural Society for the majority of our bagged gardening products.
