Bernhard’s Nurseries goes completely Melcourt peat-free

One of the UK’s most respected commercial growers - Bernhard’s Nurseries Ltd of Rugby in Warwickshire - has switched all of its production to Melcourt Sylvamix®. Bernhard’s have been using peat-reduced media for a number of years, as well as using Melcourt potting bark to ‘top’ pots, to reduce both labour and the use of herbicides. Our bagged range of composts, soil conditioners, topsoil and play surfaces are all now in a crisp new livery following receipt of the endorsement by the RHS. We’ve introduced new 15L carry home packs for Melcourt SylvaGrow® , SylvaGrow® with added John Innes (peat-free) and SylvaGrow® Ericaceous. The new packs are especially convenient for gardeners who don’t need larger quantities – or can’t cope with large bags for one reason or another.
