  1. All tests were carried out by WIRA Testing Centre, Leeds during 1995 - 1996 and 1999.
  1. Each product was tested three times. The 'worse' case test results are listed above.
  1. The classification of the radius of effects of ignition are:

    Low up to 35 millimetres
    Medium 40 - 75 millimetres
    High 80 plus millimetres

  1. The test results are specific to Melcourt LIAS products only.
  1. The 'Melcourt Playsand' brand of LIAS is not combustible.
  1. The fire test methods set out in BS 4790:1987, are in accordance to fulfill the test requirements of BS 7188:1998.
