Key Steps from Product Specification to Sample Approval

STEP1 -

Decide which Melcourt products are most suitable for your particular project.

Review the relevant product details on our website and if still unsure, ring us for further advice or complete our On-Line Product Selection Enquiry form

STEP2 -

Correctly Specify the Required Product

Copy the recommended text for each product selected, into the appropriate section within your Contract Documents and Bill of Quantities, using the wording as set out within the quotes for each Melcourt Technical Information Data Sheet.

STEP3 -

Decide whether to 'nominate' or 'specify' the chosen Melcourt product.

See Product Specification within Tender Documents for further information on this matter.

STEP4 -

Decide the Cost Basis for the Project

Put your project out to tender and select a suitable contractor to do the work etc. on a 'lowest cost' or 'best value' basis. See our section on 'Best Value'

STEP5 -

Compare Supplier Quotations

If you are selecting products yourself, compare each supplier's quotation.
Our Checklist for Landscape Product Quotation Comparison provides guidelines in this area.

STEP6 -

Approval

If you are not able to 'nominate' Melcourt products, take extra care before approving product samples put forward by the contractor for your approval. See Checklist for Product Sample Approval.
