    How to Use

  • Sylvamix® Natural contains enough fertilizer for the first few weeks of production. Depending on the crop, supplementary feeding may be required after the first few weeks
  • Plants grown in this medium will not require more water than a peat-based equivalent, but may benefit from a more frequent irrigation
  • Although a wide variety of plants has been grown in this mix, under many different management regimes, it is recommended that in the first instance small numbers are tested in order to check the suitability of this compost for the particular cultural conditions on site.
    Crop Management

  • No particular changes to normal crop management are required. However water distribution within the medium may differ slightly to peat-based mixes so care with watering is advised at first.

Storage

  • Sylvamix® growing media should always be stored carefully in clean, dry, cool conditions, away from any potential contaminants and sunlight.
  • Because Sylvamix® Natural contains an organic fertilizer, which will begin to release nutrients from the moment it is manufactured, it is important that the product is used within 21 days of despatch. Its use after this period cannot be guaranteed.
