    User Benefits
  • Melcourt Bioshells® offer excellent mass transfer characteristics at a relatively low pressure drop.
  • Reduced start-up time due to continuous irrigation capacity and pre-seeding capability.
  • Increased odour removal efficiencies.
  • Ability to handle large and sustained peak loadings .
  • Low maintenance media.
  • pH regulation due to reaction of acid by-products with calcium carbonate inherent within the shells.
  • Available as either bulk or bagged delivery.
  • Low bulk density.
  • Prompt delivery
  • Product Features

  • Easy to install mechanically or by hand.
  • Non toxic method of odour reduction
  • Typical media life above 2 years.
  • Stable environment for microbial growth due to neutral pH being sustained.
  • Acts as a carrier substrate for micro-organisms to oxidise odorous compounds.
  • Very high surface area for maximum microbial activity
  • Allows highly efficient mass transfer.
  • Provides a large sorption surface for odorous compounds.
  • 100% sustainable waste by-product resource.
  • Neutralisation of oxidation by-products.
  • Installation Rates

  • Can be installed up to 3 metres depth.
