Melcourt Walk ChipsTM - FSC
    Melcourt Walk ChipsTM are used to:-

  • Provide a natural, cost effective, temporary or semi-permanent all weather walk surface.
    Product Description

  • Selected and graded conifer and/or hardwood chips from our 'deluxe' range.
  • Natural beige colour, that mellows over time.
  • The chips are free flowing and easy to handle and lay.
    Typical Uses

  • Ideal for access paths, woodland walks, bridleways, trim and sports tracks, as well as outdoor showground sites.
  • They are particularly effective in overcoming ground erosion problems.

The following text is recommended to be used by landscape architects and product specifiers, when inviting quotations for this product. The use of this text will not contravene the copyright of this publication.

    Product Specification

  • The product shall consist of selected conifer and/or hardwood with an even nominal particle size distribution of 10 - 50mm with minimal dust and fines and more than 85% wood content.
  • The product shall be pest, disease and weed free and not have been treated with Methyl Bromide or any additives.
  • The product shall be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified
    Application Rates

  • Lay Melcourt Walk ChipsTM to a finished depth of ........ mm (insert finished depth required) allowing at least 10 % for settlement after 30 days.
    Additional Clauses

  • Typical product samples to be provided upon request.
  • All product volumes to be calculated using The Bulk Density method, as set out in BS EN 12579:2000 and BS EN 12580:2000.
