    Melcourt Humus 2000TM is used to:-

  • Improve the soil's organic matter levels.
  • Help increase soil moisture retention characteristics.
  • Increase the soils nutrient reserves.
    Product Description

  • Melcourt Humus TMis composed of a regulated range of green residues such as soft park and garden debris, which has been naturally composted under controlled conditions, in accordance with the methods approved by the Compost Association.
  • A product from our 'economy' range.
  • Mid to dark brown in colour.
  • The product is free flowing and easy to handle.
    Typical Uses

  • To improve soil quality by enhancing organic matter levels, making it easier to work, providing an active microbial population and increasing overall fertility.

    Application Rates

  • Spread Melcourt Humus 2000TM evenly onto the soil surface to a depth of not less than 50mm, then thoroughly incorporate into at least the top 150mm of soil.
  • These application rates can be exceeded on poor soils or where deeper penetration is required.

  • The product shall consist of British Composted Plant Residue with an even nominal particle size distribution of 1-25mm.
  • Typical product analysis in accordance wth BS 4156:1990 to be :-

    Application Rates

  • Spread Melcourt Humus 2000TM evenly onto the soil surface to a depth of ........ mm (insert depth required) , then throughly incorporate into at least the top ........ mm (insert incororporation depth required) of soil.
    Additional Clauses

  • Typical product samples to be provided upon request.
  • All product volumes to be calculated using The Bulk Density method, as set out in BS EN 12579:2000 and BS EN 12580:2000.
